While I am glad that they were able to get rid of X, I think I have an issue with how that whole scene went down. Like sure, I guess it shows that he is learning how to move on with his life, but there are other ways to do that. I will not deny that Nathan has been an important part of this story, however I think the fact that he has a love story is completely irrelevant and useless. Having something in common with someone doesn’t mean it’s okay that they’re an awful person and have done awful things. But I did not like how A let the fact that X beat the shit out of Nathan (and put him in a cast) slide. He was a completely different person than he was throughout the rest of the book. When X and A finally met, I was surprised that X was so nice. That was a nice little story throughout everything else. One thing that I really liked about all of this was Liam and Peter and the fact that they found each other again, even though they are both different people every day. Like how many are there and why? Of course, it’s likely that no one knows the answers yet but I’m not satisfied with that answer. It was nice, but at the same time I don’t really feel like any of my questions were answered. I was also surprised that there were narratives from other people like A and X.

I started listening to this on audiobook so hearing his part made it sound even creepier. While reading X’s first narrative, I quickly realized that this guy was a fucking psycho.

To start, I was pleasantly surprised to find multiple perspectives: Rhiannon, Nathan, X and of course, A. I was so excited for it and couldn’t wait to see how it ended and then I got to the end and I kinda feel….underwhelmed. I’ve really got mixed feelings about this book.

Now comes an understanding of the extremes that love and loneliness can lead to-and what it’s like to discover that you are not alone in the world. A always thought there wasn’t anyone else who had a life like this.Ī has already been wrestling with powerful feelings of love and loneliness.
